ABOUT US
Joe and Jeff met a few years ago while in school, and quickly took their friendship out of the hallways and onto the trails where they mountain biked all over NC. Fortunately the friendship didn't end there when they came upon their big idea - help fashion find faith. And hence, Messenger was born."Rock what ya got." - joe
He's 50% musician, 50% athlete; half creative director, half businessman; 100% down with the mission of Messenger. All in all, he's sort of good at a whole lot of stuff, and hence has too many hobbies to count. But, he has recently been snowboarding and mountain biking in Colorado, waterskiing and wakeboarding in New York, and studying business and starting his own down here in North Carolina. All that and he still has time to have a stupid haircut that makes his mom wonder what kind of man-child she spawned.
Joe does have a mature responsible side once in awhile, and has spent time mentoring at-risk youth in entrepreneurship and coaching ultimate Frisbee. If you have any questions about our products, would like to sing Messenger's praise or say something nasty about us (we hope not!), Joe is the man with whom you should speak.
"Durham is the heat!" - jeff
I think Jeff actually lives in a tent, because he's always camping, hiking, mountain biking and generally getting lost in the woods with his wife Leah. Back in his golden high school days, Jeff was president of his youth group, and served as a leader at Carolina Cross Connection. If Messenger ever lets Jeff leave work again, he'll be leading youth groups on camping trips once again.
When Jeff is forced to sit inside on those rainy days, you can count on him to be blasting some great music and building something online. And hence, Jeff is the handyman behind Messenger. He makes everything work, and best of all, we don't have to look at his plumber's crack every day. If you have any questions on where your product is, or why the website isn't working, Jeff is your man.
"beep! beep!" - micah
Micah is the man on the flaming red scooter. Dashing between cars, he's lightning fast and fortunately does not wear a cape. He does have funny aviator goggles though. With excellent taste in music, a gentle Mississippi accent and a sweet portfolio of killer design work for churches and skateboard shops. He's a natural fit for the company. He also helps make Joe feel a little taller, which is nice for Joe, since Jeff is so darn tall.
Messenger's great product comes from the mind of Micah, a pristinely serene place where beautiful ideas are created. When you get a great shirt from us and get all sorts of compliments, Micah would love to hear about it! But, still talk to Joe if you want to complain. Micah hates it when Joe whines, so he probably doesn't want to hear you whining either.
